Copper rebounded today slightly, finishing on $6968 per tonne.
Recently we saw a drop in the copper price, due to a surging dollar together with holidays and nervous feelings in the Chinese manufacturing sector. With Chinese New Year having been over for a few days now, production should be in full swing fuelling demand once more.
However over the long term, Copper still sits in a bullish trend. Analysis cites unwavering demand for electronics and an ever increasing focus on renewable energy, both of which demand copper in large amounts.
