This statement is made pursuant to section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we have taken to ensure that our business as well as supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking during the financial year ending 2016.
Modern slavery is a crime and a gross violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
Flowflex Components Ltd is committed to driving out acts of modern-day slavery from within its own business and that from within its supply chains.
The company acknowledges responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure there is transparency within the organisation and with supplies of goods and services to the organisation.
Flowflex Components Ltd is a family owned business and operates from a single six-acre site based in Derbyshire.
The company manufactures and supplies components and fittings for use in all applications in the plumbing and heating industry.
The relationship with all our suppliers has been established over a number of years and is built upon mutually beneficial factors.
As and when we have new suppliers, we will pre-qualify them through a series of due diligence processes.
To date we have not been made aware of any human trafficking/slavery activities within our supply chain but if any were highlighted to us, we would act immediately in accordance with our legal and moral obligations.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility policy reflects our commitment to minimise the risks of human trafficking and other modern slavery practices infiltrating our business operations and supply chains, and to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business activities and relationships.
